This section is dedicated to the things that were utilized, or created, to solve problems, provide new or improved services, or move the hospital's mission forward in some meaningful way.
These "things" included ambulances, fundraising campaigns, publicity, consolidation of care and acquisition of other assets and even recognizing those of us who were called to serve our country in times of war.
Postcards
On a lighter note, we are including a selection of postcards that were published during the years. These were employed by countless patients, family members and friends to let someone know how they were doing and provided a wonderful pre-internet method of communicating.

Historic Spanish-American War Photo

Elizabeth General Hospital & Dispensary's Dr. Charles H. Schlichter was part of this historic photo from Ft. Wadsworth during the Spanish-American War.
There is so much memorabilia that we will try to add whatever we can to the Gallery page or even expand this section.
We hope you find this tribute to be a salute to the countless hours of work by thousands of dedicated people to the cause of keeping patients healthy.
